摘 要:This study evaluates the effects of digital transformation on facilities management (FM) projects in Saudi Arabia, focusing on the key technologies used, their benefits, challenges, and the opportunities they present. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data from surveys with qualitative insights from expert interviews and case studies. The survey, involving 313 respondents from various FM sectors, highlights the widespread adoption of technologies like CMMS, BIM, IoT, AI, smart applications, and interactive dashboards. Key findings indicate that these technologies significantly enhance operational efficiency, cost savings, maintenance optimization, and decision-making. However, challenges such as high implementation costs, resistance to change, cybersecurity concerns, and integration issues persist. The study’s case studies, drawn from diverse industries including universities, underscore the practical benefits and hurdles faced during digital transformation. Recommendations include investing in comprehensive training programs, securing financial support, enhancing cybersecurity measures, developing clear strategic plans, fostering a culture of innovation, leveraging data analytics, encouraging collaboration, and advocating for supportive government policies. These recommendations aim to guide stakeholders in effectively navigating the digital landscape, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 objectives to achieve operational excellence and sustainable growth in FM projects. This study evaluates the effects of digital transformation on facilities management (FM) projects in Saudi Arabia, focusing on the key technologies used, their benefits, challenges, and the opportunities they present.
