摘 要:教育国际化背景下,高校得以吸引全球考生,这使得以录取为目的的学术英语测评变得空前重要。伴随着技术的快速发展,学术英语测评面临着新的挑战。《以高等院校录取为目的的学术英语测评》(Assessing Academic English for Higher Education Admissions)回顾了读、听、写、说四种语言能力的定义,着重阐释了学术英语能力测评的构念框架,以TOEFL iBT、IELTS和PTE学术英语测评为例,对比展示了这些测评中的实际操作。本书阐述了学术英语测评研究在构念和技术赋能方面的最新进展,指出了未来研究的方向,具有重要的理论和实用价值,对未来学术英语测评研究、发展和改革具有重要的启示。The internationalization of education has enabled universities to attract candidates across the globe, leading to unprecedented importance attached to academic English assessment for admission purposes. With the rapid development of technology, academic English assessment is facing new challenges. The book Assessing Academic English for Higher Education Admissions surveys the definitions of the four language abilities: reading, listening, writing, and speaking, and focuses on interpreting the construct framework of assessing academic English abilities. Using TOEFL iBT, IELTS, and PTE as examples of academic English tests, the book compares and contrasts the practical operations of these assessments. It expounds on the latest advancements of construct and technological empowerment in academic English assessment research and points out the direction of future research, which is of great theoretical and practical value and will be an important inspiration for the future research, development, and reform of academic English assessment.
