墨西卡利华人青少年语言保持与语言转用状况及影响因素研究

摘　　要：海外华人的语言保持和语言转用一直以来备受国内外语言学家的关注,但是现有研究大多集中于东南亚和美加澳等国,针对西班牙语国家华人语言保持和语言转用的研究仍十分有限。本文通过问卷调查的方法,探讨墨西卡利华人青少年(10—24岁)的语言保持与语言转用情况,并探究其影响因素。研究发现:墨西卡利华人青少年仍在一定程度上保持了传承语,但也已经开始出现语言转用;族际通婚是导致语言转用的最重要因素;性别对语言转用有明显影响,女性的语言转用水平更高;年龄与受教育程度对语言转用也有一定的影响,年龄越大、受教育程度越高,语言转用也越为明显;家庭收入水平、移民代数与语言转用水平没有显著关联。Language maintenance and language shift(LMLS)of overseas Chinese diaspora has raised much interest among scholars specialized in language planning and language policy at home and abroad.However,most of the existing studies concentrate on areas or countries where there is a great number of Chinese immigrants,such as Southeast Asia,the United States,Canada and Australia.Research on LMLS of Chinese diaspora settled in Spanish-speaking countries is relatively limited.This research focuses on Chinese adolescents(from 10 to 24 years old)in Mexicali,Mexico.We conduct a questionnaire survey to embrace the panorama of LMLS of this group and then analyze its influencing factors.The research finds that Chinese adolescents in Mexicali still maintain their heritage language at a certain level,but they also begin the process of language shift.Inter-ethnic marriage is the most important factor causing language shift.Gender also has some impact,with the females experiencing higher level of language shift.Age and education levels are also factors to some extent,as language shift becomes more obvious when the age and education levels ascend.The level of family income and the generation of immigration do not have much influence on LMLS.
