摘　　要：本文报道12例空泡蝶鞍综合征,其中10例为原发性,2例为继发性.文中就患者的特点,结合文献,对本综合征的病因、临床和X线表现、鉴别诊断与治疗等问题作了讨论.Twelve cases of empty sella are reported,in which 10 being primary and 2 secon-dary.The individual histories of the cases were cited.The present reported cases mani-fested differently to those published abroad.The patients frequently showed theimpairment of visual acuity and defect in visual field.In diagnosis and differentialdiagnosis,pneumoencephalography as well as lateral position midline tomography andpostero-anterior position tomography were found to be reliable methods.Operation isgenerally not indicated for the treatment of the syndrome except when local arachnoiditisaround the optic chiasma,increase of intracranial pressure associated with arachnoidalcyst or marked intrasellar invagination of optic nerve has occurred.
