中小企业数字化转型、产业链关系与持续性创新绩效——基于中小板和创业板企业的研究

摘　　要：数字技术创新应用为中小企业实现可持续发展创造了重大机遇,现有研究主要聚焦于企业数字化转型对自身的创新绩效的影响,鲜有研究从产业链上下游关系的角度探讨企业数字化转型对持续性创新绩效的作用机理。本文通过匹配中国中小板和创业板上市公司2012—2022年上下游供应商和客户数据,实证分析了数字化转型对中小企业持续性创新绩效的影响机理及产业链关系在其中的调节效应。研究发现,数字化转型能显著提高中小企业持续性创新绩效,其中,企业所处的产业链位置调节了两者之间的关系,客户集中度高时能增强数字化转型对中小企业持续性创新绩效的影响;供应商集中度高时则会抑制数字化转型对中小企业持续性创新绩效的正向影响。进一步研究发现,数字化转型对企业持续性创新绩效的正向影响存在着“东热西冷”的区域特征,上市年限长、融资约束小的中小企业会更倾向于借助数字化转型促进持续性创新。本文扩展了数字化转型创新效应的作用机理,为如何提高中小企业持续性创新绩效、助力高质量发展提供了经验。The application of digital technology innovation provides significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs)to achieve sustainable development.Existing research primarily focuses on the impact of enterprise digital transformation on its own innovation performance,with limited exploration from the perspective of upstream and downstream relationships in the industrial chain regarding the mechanisms through which digital transformation affects the sustained innovation performance of enterprises.This paper systematically validates the impact mechanism of digital transformation on the sustained innovation performance of SMEs and the moderating effects of industrial chain relationships by matching upstream and downstream supplier and customer data of Chinese SMEs listed on the Small and Medium Enterprise Board(SME Board)and the Growth Enterprise Market(GEM)from 2010 to 2021.The study finds that digital transformation can significantly enhance the sustained innovation performance of SMEs.The industrial chain relationships in which companies are situated moderate the relationship between the two.When customer concentration is high,digital transformation can strengthen its impact on the sustained innovation performance of SMEs,while high supplier concentration can inhibit the positive impact of digital transformation on the sustained innovation performance of SMEs.Further research reveals a regional feature of“hot in the east,cold in the west”regarding the positive impact of digital transformation on the sustained innovation performance of enterprises.SMEs with longer listing periods and less financial constraints are more inclined to leverage digital transformation to promote sustained innovation.This study extends the understanding of the mechanisms of the innovation effects of digital transformation,providing empirical evidence for how to improve the sustained innovation performance of SMEs and contribute to high-quality development.
