摘　　要：Melody dictation is a basic exercise for every beginner in music. It is also one of the compulsory subjects for the Chinese university entrance examination on music major. Undoubtedly, almost every music beginner thinks the melody dictation is very difficult and doesn't know how to solve the problems. Based on available previous researches, this essay will analyze the possible problems that may exist in the melody dictation and put forward some possible solutions.
