摘　　要：The counterweight is an important component of the elevator traction drive. It is an indispensable prerequisite to ensure the realization of the traction capacity required by the elevator. In the case of the expansion of the scale of high-rise buildings and the increase in the number and type of elevator, the type of heavy elevator is also increasing, so that the heavy parts of the cast iron on the weight of the corresponding more, the weight of the manufacturer of casting mold is also increasing, resulting in the overall production cost of the elevator is gradually increasing. In order to solve this problem, this paper mainly from the composite cast iron to the heavy block structure design, characteristics and the application in the elevator to bring economic benefits are expounded.
