The Expression and Clinical Significance of Seroconversion Growth Factor in Early Syphilis Patients

摘　　要：Objective: to explore the expression and clinical significance of the seroconverted growth factor (TGF-β) in clinically diagnosed recessive and primary syphilis patients. Methods: to collect 46 cases of recessive syphilis patients in Shanghai long march hospital, 12 patients and apparent healthy patients, detect the serum TGF level by enzyme-linked immunosorbent method, analyze the differences in the groups and the correlation with the serological test (TRUST) red, ROC curve analysis of TGF-syphilis diagnostic value. Results: the concentration of TGF-βin syphilis-infected patients was 167.14 (98.9, 272.5) pg/mL, which was significantly higher than the 9.29 (0,36.43) pg/mL, with a significant difference (P < 0.01). Serum TGF-βexpression in recessive syphilis patients was 171.43 (102.5, 303.93) pg/mL, which was higher than that of primary syphilis patients [134.29 (43.6, 187.86) pg/mL], but it was not significant (P > 0.05). The ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of TGF-βfor syphilis diagnosis was 0.93 (95%CI = 0.877 – 0.983), with a sensitivity of 86.2%, and a specificity of 86.7%. TGF-βshowed a significant negative correlation with age (P < 0.05), with no significant difference between the different TRUST titers groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: the expression of peripheral blood TGF-βis significantly higher than that in the normal population, suggesting that TGF-has a role in syphilis pathogenesis and has potential diagnostic value for syphilis. Auxiliary TGF-is beneficial to the accurate diagnosis of cryptic syphilis and primary syphilis patients, and the level of TGF-βin patients decreases with age, and the specific mechanism is not very clear.
