Effect of Gualou Honghua Gancao Decoction on Serum Inflammatory Factors and Curative Effect in Patients with Herpes Zoster

摘　　要：Objectives: to study the effect of gualou honghua gancao decoction on serum inflammatory factors and curative effect of herpes zoster patients. Methods: a total of 76 patients with herpes zoster who were admitted to our hospital from January 2019 to October 2021 were selected and divided into two groups based on the random number table, with 38 cases in each group. The control group was given routine basic medication, and the observation group was given gualou honghua gancao decoction based on the conditions of the control group for 2 weeks. After the course of treatment, the clinical efficacy, symptom subsidence time, pain degree and serum inflammatory factor [interleukin-4 (IL-4), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)] levels in different treatment stages were compared between the two groups. Results: the total effective rate of medication in the observation group (94.74%) was higher than that in the control group (76.32%), with statistical significance (P<0.05). The symptom subsidence time (blister stop, scab and scab removal) in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). The pain degree scores in the observation group after the 7th and 14th days of treatment were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). After treatment, the measured values of serum inflammatory factors (IL-4 and TNF-α) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05). Conclusion: the clinical efficacy of gualou honghua gancao decoction in the treatment of herpes zoster patients is significant, and it can effectively relieve pain and speed up the relief of symptoms. The mechanism may be related to the down-regulation of serum inflammatory factors.
