Analysis of the Effect of CFS Suspension Combined with Levator Muscle Shortening in Severe Ptosis

摘　　要：Objective: to treat patients with severe blepharoptosis with CFS suspension combined with shortening of levator palpebrae superioris muscle, and to analyze its effect. Methods: from June 2019 to June 2021, 40 patients with severe ptosis were selected. According to the difference of treatment methods, 20 patients with severe blepharoptosis were selected and treated with CFS suspension in the control group. A total of 20 patients with severe blepharoptosis were selected and treated with CFS suspension combined with shortening of levator palpebrae superioris muscle in the observation group. The treatment effect statistics, upper eyelid retardation and insufficient eyelid closure, the investigation results of complications, PFH and MRD1, the satisfaction investigation of surgical correction effect, eyelid aesthetic effect, and the score of quality of life were compared between groups. Results: the effective rate of the observation group was higher (P<0.05). In the observation group, the upper eyelid movement range was higher and the insufficient eyelid closure was lower (P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the observation group was lower (P<0.05). PFH and MRD1 were higher in the observation group (P<0.05). The satisfaction of surgical correction effect in the observation group was higher (P<0.05). Before operation, the aesthetic effect of eyelids and the score of quality of life between the groups were compared (P > 0.05). After operation, the upper eyelid contour, the height symmetry of double eyelids, the symmetry effect of double eyelids and the score of quality of life in the observation group were higher (P<0.05). Conclusion: both CFS suspension and levator palpebrae shortening are effective methods for the treatment of severe ptosis, and the combined use of the two has a significant effect. It can not only improve the treatment effect, reduce the probability of complications, but also improve the quality of life, make the eyelid more beautiful after surgery, and has high clinical application value.
