摘　　要：本文介绍了远程教育的三种方式 ,通过对教育电视的先进传播功能和西部地区特点的分析 ,阐明了教育电视在西部地区远程教育中的重要作用 。Three types of distance education are introduced in this paper. By analyzing the advanced functions of the educational television and the characteristics in the western regions of China, the authors expound the important role of educational television and hold that it should be the mainstay medium of the distance education in West China.
