摘　　要：本文调查研究了大学生英语语言能力的发展状况.本次调查以山东省内部分非英语专业一年级大学生为调查对象,通过跟踪测试和访谈的形式,重点考察他们英语语言能力的发展变化.结果表明,经过一年的学习,学生语言能力有了较大提高,但各项能力的发展并不均衡.其中,词汇和阅读能力进步较快,听力和写作进步幅度相对较小.笔者在分析原因的基础上提出了相应的教学建汉.This paper reports a study on the development of college students' English proficiency.The study is conducted among some first year non-English majors in Shandong via two tests and an interview.The findings indicate that the students' language proficiency has improved after one-year learning of English,while their language skills have not grown at the same rate.Their vocabulary and reading skills grow faster than their listening and writing skills.The paper analyzes the causes and provides some suggestions for college English language teaching.
