摘　　要：毕生致力于中美文化交流事业的美国女作家赛珍珠在她众多的作品中揭示了自己"一个世界"的跨文化理想,即异质文化之间互相尊重,求同存异,吐故纳新,和谐共处的文化理想。小说《帝国女人》中描述了以慈禧为代表的守旧派在与外国使臣交往中发生的一系列文化碰撞和冲突,本文通过对这些文化冲突的分析,揭示了赛珍珠跨文化理想的历史和现实价值。Pearl S.Buck,a famous American writer,has devoted all her life to Sino-US cultural exchange.In many of her works,she embodies her "one-world" cross-cultural ideal.This essay,through analyzing the cultural conflicts and confrontation described in one of her novel Imperial Woman,discloses the significance of her cross-cultural ideal.The "one world" in Pearl S.Buck s mind is an ideal state in which all peoples try to understand and appreciate each other s culture while taking pride in their respective cultures...
