摘 要:小说发展史最早标示时间的一维性,以此作直线式叙事,着眼于故事情节之道。后来时空被切割,外在世界转入隐秘的内在世界,叙事时空压缩,内心活动扩张,以此构筑意识流程的焦点辐射,成为白先勇行之有效的一种结构手法。中国现实主义传统和西方现代主义新潮的两相交融互补,集中表现在《游园惊梦》、《香港——一九六○》等小说名篇之中。其意识流程及焦点辐射,从单向到多向,从直向到逆向,形成一个错综复杂的意识网络结构,彰显白先勇意识小说的卓特不凡。As its history shows, fiction stresses the one dimension of time, hence its chronological narration of the linear development of plot. Later, as time and space is presented split in literary works, the external world is understood in the context of the internal world, the narrative time and space are compressed while the internal world is expanded, hence the radiation of conscious flow—all these are reflected in Pai Hsien-yung's fiction as a structure. The Chinese tradition of realism and the modernist movements in the west are well represented in his Lost Dream in the Garden, and Hong Kong—1960. The conscious flow in these works is multi-dimensional and multifarious, making up a complex web of structure of consciousness, and securing his fiction of consciousness a unique place.
