摘　　要：构建"以学生为中心"大学英语教学新模式,应用以网络为基础的多媒体现代教育技术是当前我国高校英语教学改革的两大重要内容。然而无论是教学模式还是现代技术,实质上都只是方法与技巧,它们都离不开教师的掌握、使用和落实,都与教师的发展密切相关。如果教师的发展没跟上来,就会限制改革的成效。对此,从新教学模式及现代技术应用两方面出发讨论英语教师应如何发展才能保证改革的有效实施。The establishment of student-centered teaching mode and the application of web-based multimedia modern educational technology are two main aspects of the college English teaching reform.Yet both teaching mode and high-tech are no more than method and technique,which are nevertheless under the control and management of teachers.So if the development of college English teachers doesn't keep pace with the reform,the effect of the reform will definitely be confined.Therefore,in the thesis,the problem of teachers' development is dealt with,respectively based on the new teaching mode and modern educational technology,with the purpose of ensuring an effective reform.
