摘　　要：孟德斯鸠在《论法的精神》中对中国的德政作了论述和分析,其中多有不当甚至自相矛盾的地方。究其原因,除了对中国情况的隔膜外,主要在于他对欧洲君主制的肯定以及将东、西方君主制划分为两个性质截然不同的政体。Montesqieu discussed and analyzed China's benevolent rule in On the Spirit of Law,but there were many improper or even self-contradictory points in the book.Besides his ignorance of the realistic situation in Chi- na,the reason for these mistakes is that Montesqieu held a strong approval of the European anarchy and classified anarchies of the East and the West as two totally different forms of government.
