摘　　要：当今美国社会是一个多元文化社会,各种文化并存是其社会的主要特征。但源于清教主义的盎格鲁-撒克逊文化在各种文化中占据了主导地位,与美国民众有着千丝万缕的联系,是其"民族主义"、"个人主义"、"使命意识"等价值观与美国主流价值观的清教主义缩影。America,being as a multicultural society,has experienced the coexistence of different cultures.However,the WASP(White Anglo-Saxon Protestant) culture,which originates from Puritanism,is dominant.This paper introduces Puritanism philosophy,analyzes the formation of American values such as nationalism,individualism and the sense of mission,aiming to explore the influence of Puritanism on the mainstream values of American multiculturalism.
