摘　　要：英语习语的形象转换不仅是语用者对习语创造性的应用,也反映了语用者的认知思维方式,它主要包括结构上和功能上的转换,即习语构成词的重组、压缩或扩充构成词、习语构成词的替换、改变句法功能等。转换后的习语有其特殊的修辞功能。Image transformation of English idioms reflect not only the language users’ creation,but also their thinking mode.It includes transformation of constructions and features,that is reconstruction,compression or expansion,addition or insertion,replacement or substitution,and function change.After transforming,idiom has its special rhetorical features.
