摘　　要：本文采用批评性语篇分析工具,着重从分类、情态、及物性三方面,对《纽约时报》和《中国日报》关于世博会试运行第一天的两篇报道进行对比性语料分析,揭示其不同的政治立场和意识形态意义,从而增强读者的语言敏感性。Taking CDA as an analytical tool and exploring three aspects of classification,modality and transitivity,the article carries out a comparative critical analysis of two reports concerning the first day of Shanghai's Expo trial opening extracted from People's Daily and New York Times respectively,with a view to identify diverse ideologies hidden in news discourse so as to raise readers' critical language awareness.
