摘　　要：叶斯柏森的语法体系是传统语法与现代语法的一道分水岭,承前启后。它突出句法,兼顾语义与语用,兼重描写与解释,多方探析语言现象理据。其"三品说"为解决句子词类问题提供了重要借鉴,连系式、组合式等提法是人类语言特质之精要概括。叶氏语法至今仍不失时代感,并不断产生启示意义。Jespersen grammar inherits from traditional grammar and enlightens modern grammar.Systematic and comprehensive,Jespersenian grammar emphasizes syntax without neglecting the semantic and pragmatic sides.Descriptive and explanatory,it explores the reasons and motivations of linguistic phenomena.His theory of ranks provides suggestions on the word classes in the sentence,while his notions of nexus and junction highlight the essentials of human language.Thus,Jespersenian grammar remains up-to-date and enlightening.
