摘　　要：Expressionism was an aesthetic movement originated in painting in the early 1920’s. But it has also exerted great influence on other forms of arts, including dramatic works. This paper intends to compare the application of expressionistic devices such as flashbacks, and the use of symbols and music in Death of a Salesman and The Glass Menagerie.Expressionism was an aesthetic movement originated in painting in the early 1920's.
