摘  要:发展面向21世纪的中国教育技术,首先要正确认识教育技术。在远程开放教育、普通学校教育、企业培训与开发、社会教育传播等领域从事实践的教育技术人员只有对自己的专业工作性质有深刻的认识,才可能在这些组织机构的深化改革中为自己正确定位,发挥教育技术的独特作用。本文试从教育技术的范围和特性上展开讨论,希望对我国教育技术界形成共识有所裨益。The proper understanding of educational technology is of paramout importance if we are to further develop educational technology to meet the requirements of the 21st century. In this paper, the writer, as a practioner in the field of educational techology, rethinks 'what they are about' in both theory and practice. Firstly educational technology can be thought of in three different ways: as a theoretical construct showing the ideas and principles about how problems in human learning are identified and solved, as a field of endeavor showing its applications in and implications for the reform of education, and as a profession identifying the criteria for a special group of professionals withing the field. The three parts meant to be taken as a whole properly explains what happens in the field of Chinese educational technology. The writer suggests that the definition and domain of Chinese educational technology be developed, so that educational technologists can better position themselves in various organizations and contribute more to the organizational development. Secondly the four attributes of educational technology must be understood. Educational technology is in essence a sytems approach to educational problems. The unique approach is result-oriented, cost-effective , comprehensive and systemic. This approach means that educational technology is application in nature , and is grounded in scientifically derived theories and the best empirical evidence available. This approach is open to all means, methods, and media. The four attributes are analysed with illustrations.
