摘　　要：在历史上,个人和群体在社会大舞台上都扮演着不同的角色,呈现出多姿多彩的场景。清代扬州盐商拥有雄厚的资本,在扬州社会中扮演了极其重要的角色,对扬州社会的政治、经济、文化产生过深远的影响。扬州盐商是高消费的群体,在经济领域是时尚消费的引领者;在文化领域,他们是延揽、集聚人才的组织者;在戏曲艺术上,又是花部、雅部戏交融的开拓者;在书院教育上,更是资助和倡导者。剖析扬州盐商的多重角色身份,对全面评判扬州盐商将会有一定的作用。With their abundant assets,the salt merchants of Yangzhou used to play extrememly important social roles in Qing Dynasty,exerting far-reaching influence on the politics,economy and culture of Yangzhou.As a high-consumption community,Yangzhou salt merchants led the fashion consumption in economic field;they were the organizers of the literati in cultural field;they were the pioneers of some sorts of dramas;they were the sponsors in education.The salt merchants played multi roles in Yangzhou history.
