充分准备　认真翻译──浅谈如何搞好汉英科技翻译

摘　　要：根据笔者从事翻译工作的实际经验以及多年来发现的问题，本文对如何搞好汉英科技翻译提出两点心得；1．充分做好准备工作，即正确处理快与慢的关系，将很多问题处理于动笔之前。必须指出的是，准备工作充分与否将直接影响到译文的质量及翻译任务的按期完成。2．严肃认真地搞好翻译工作，即借助于各种手段（如工具书、专业文献等），充分运用自己的中英文知识，力求比较准确地表达出原文的内涵。The equivalent translation is one of key points of the translation theory,on which manytheoreticians have different views. Being engaged in translation for a number of years and based onhis understanding and experiences,the anuthor is of the opinion that the equivalent translation hasbeen put forward with the purpose of formulating a translation standard and making a quality requirement of translation. The equivalent translation should be regarded as a qualitative,but not aquantitative requirement. Every effort must be made to prevent the tendency to pursue the equivalent translation blindly and mechanically. Due to the difference in culture,customs and habits between different nations or countries,it is impossible to do equivalent translation exactly. The authors encourage not to translate some of the words or expressions with pronounced local color between different languages,and to translate them by popular usage instead.
