摘 要:“新儒家”(New Confucianism)是当今对港台及海外思想文化界深有影响的重要思潮,近年随着对外学术交流的扩展和文化研究热湖的兴起,在国内学术界亦有播散。本文作为尝试,以中国现代思想史为背景,简述了当代儒家确立“返本开新”之位的儒学发展三期论和其文化保守主义倾向的特征、根脉、趋向、机缘诸问题,并对其宗教意义的道德复归提出了批评。'New Confucianism' is an important idological trend with profound influence on the contemporary ideological and cultural circles in Hong Kong, Taiwan and the whole world. In the recent years, along witn the expansion of international academic exchange and the emerging passion for cultural research, New Confucianism has also found its dissemination in China's academic world. This essay is an tentative effort, based on the history of modern Chinese ideology,to give a brief account of such issues as the characteristics, origin, tendency of development and opportunity of the'triphase theory' with which New Confucianism establishes its position of'inheriting the past and ushering in the future', as well as its culturally conservativist trend. Criticism is also directed to its concept of moral restoration in the religious sense.
