摘　　要：办学特色是民办大学的生命,是学校持续发展的源泉和动力。办学特色的内涵可从独特性、优质性、稳定性和动态性、社会效益等方面解读。办学特色是自主的有目的的创建和建设而形成,树立鲜明的办学理念、构建特有人才培养模式、创新教学管理等均可创建办学特色。将办学求大求全、新设"对口专业"、办学定位视为办学特色,是当前民办大学创建办学特色的误区。School-operation character is the life in the management of the non-government-run college,and also is the source and motive for the college's continuous development, which could be interpreted in the following respects:unique distinction,high quality,steady stabilization,motivating capability and social benefits. School-operation character results from autonomous and intentional creation and construction,establishment of clear school-operation concept,construction of unique model for cultivating talents and creative teaching management. If school operation should be directed in search for vastness and perfection, for new enrollment of specialties geared to the needs of the job market and such should be viewed as the character of school operation,some errors would unavoidably occur in the creation and construction of nowadays non-government-run college.
