抓住机遇,大力发展电大继续教育——在全国电大继续教育协作会第二次年会上的发言

摘　　要：今天,我们在此召开全国电大继续教育协作会第二次年会,交流电大开展继续教育的经验和理论研究成果,研究在实施科教兴国战略中电大开展继续教育的任务和对策,探讨远程继续教育的理论和实践问题,具有重要的现实意义。这次年会在上海召开,是因为上海电大开展继续教育工作取得了突出的成绩,他们在高等院校林立的上海,继续教育独树一帜。他们发挥了电大的优势和自身的优势。办出了特色,办出了声誉,在上海乃至全国产生了较大的影响。从这个意义上说,这次年会也是全国电大继续教育现场会。After a profound analysis about the latest situation faced by Radio & Television Universities, the author of this report believes that the two changes in national economic structure and strategies of vitalizing the nation with science and education and the sustainable development program will exert deep and far- reaching influence on Radio & Television Universities.By scrutinizing conventional education and distance education at home and abroad, he also reminds people to be conscious of the followings: The pace of multimedia education is being accelerated in conventional universities; Continuing education is considered one of school's primary tasks; Modern distance education is growing fast.As a result of the above, Radio & Television Universities' reform and development confronts with opportunities as well as challenges. A glorious revival for Radio & Television Universities is up to various factors such as opportunity,reformation, unique superiority, technical feature and quality improvement.In his article, six tips are presented in regard to the further development of continuing education in Radio & Television Universities: Raise the level of consciousness and hasten the speed of development; Set a target for development and establish plans for it accordingly; Maximize superiority and speciality; Reinforce management for better quality; Reinforce cooperation; Build an effective faculty for management of continuing education.As for joint venture of schooling, he proposes teamwork inside and outside Radio & Television Universities alike; Radio & Television Universities' superiority and government's support alike; mutual corrective and interest share alike; for international cooperation, pursuit of advanced science and technology and respect for intellectual property right alike.
