摘　　要：本文按双语词典的编纂原理，通过对《汉英词典》1978年原版与1995年修订版之比较，指出了修订版的诸多错误。In the interest of the readership and based on lexicography, the paper has explored andexposed on the strength of ample examples some of the eyepopping defects standing out from AChinese-English Dictionary (Revised),including important omissions,superfluous and inflated entries,frequent failures to previde English equivalents of Chinese, inconsis-tencies both in form and in content,lexical laxities, and mistakes, serious and not as serious.
