摘　　要：The epididymal epithelia, by secretion, fluid reabsorption and transition, provide a favorable environment for sperm maturation. We observed, with histochemical method, the regional differences of four hydrolases and five dehydrogenases in caput, corpus and cauda of rat epididymisThe epididymal epithelia, by secretion, fluid reabsorption and transition, provide a favorable environment for sperm maturation. We observed, with histochemical method, the regional differences of four hydrolases and five dehydrogenases in caput, corpus and cauda of rat epididymis to investigatc the relationship between the epithelial functions in different segments and sperm maturation. The enzyme activities of AKP, ACP and Ca^(++)-ATPase gradually dcclined from caput to cauda, whereas those of LDH, SDH, GPD, G-6-PD, NADH and acetylcholinesterase increased in cauda. The staining reactions of spermatozoa in the epididymal cavity were different.
