摘　　要：清末江西巡抚利用清政府推行新政之际介入新式学堂教育,掌握了新式教育的权力。在此期间,江西巡抚群体逐步地为江西构建了新式学堂教育体系,并实行了创立各类专门学堂、派遣留学生等举措。这些举措为近代西方的自然科学知识和人文科学知识在江西的传播,江西近代新式知识分子群体的出现,对江西教育乃至江西社会的近代转型产生了深远的影响。从这个意义上说,江西巡抚群体为江西教育和江西社会的近代化做出了重大的贡献。The governor of Jiangxi province got involved in new type schooling and ultimately mastered the power of modern education when the Qing government was implementing the New Deal. In the meantime, The succeeding governors gradually built the new school of Jiangxi education system, and took many creative measures such as establishing all kinds of special schools and sending students overseas. These measures had a profound impact in terms of the modern transition of education of Jiangxi province and Jiangxi society, the spread of modern western natural science knowledge and the modern western humanities knowledge in Jiangxi,and the emergence of modern Jiangxi new intellectual group, ect. In this sense, the governor group of Jiangxi province has made a significant contribution for the education of Jiangxi province and the modernization of Jiangxi society.
