摘  要:埃莉诺·瓦赫特尔(Eleanor Wachtel)在对加拿大作家迈克尔·翁达杰的一次访谈中提到,"身份,民族归属和情感认同问题"似乎占据了翁达杰个人以及他所创作的所有角色。身份问题和为身份非此非彼的人物寻找归属始终贯穿迈克尔·翁达杰的创作中。1982年,翁达杰发表了小说化传记《世代相传》。这部打破虚构与真实,小说与传记之间界限的作品被琳达·哈钦誉为"挑战界限的巅峰之作"。本文通过分析《世代相传》一书所体现出的翁达杰而指出作家试图颠覆传统僵化的各种等级划分,模糊不同种族、文化、民族国家之间的身份界限,从而为被边缘化人物摆脱身份困扰,重置这个群体在新的历史空间的位置。Eleanor Wachtel said in an interview to Canadian writer Michael Ondaatje, 'identity, national ownership and emotional identity' seemed to occupy all the characters he created. Issues of identity and identity from the other people looking for home runs through Michael Ondaatje's works. In 1982, Ondaatje published a fictional biography 'from generation to generation'. This breaks the boundaries between truth and fiction, novels and biographies by Linda Hutcheon known as the 'challenge the limits of the pinnacle'. In this paper, through the analysis of 'generations' and points out that the writer trying to subvert the various grades of traditional rigid, fuzzy boundaries between different ethnic identity, culture, nation, so as to be marginalized from the identity problem, position in the new historical space reset this group.
