摘　　要：独立学院英语专业的实践教学模式和开展效果,对英语专业优势的突显和在激烈竞争中获得长久生存及发展起到至关重要的作用。本文以华中科技大学武昌分校为例,从英语专业的实践课程的教学模式、教学中存在的问题和对策,以及教学效果等方面展开讨论和研究,旨在进一步完善专业建设、优化专业课程体系、实现人才培养目标,最终将实践教学作为评估英语专业本科教学工作水平的一项重要指标。The practice teaching mode and the development effect of Independent College English majors, the advantages of professional English to highlight and get long survival and development plays a crucial role in the fierce competition. In this paper, Huazhong University of Science and Technology Wuchang branch as an example, from the problems and countermeasures in teaching, professional practice courses in English, discussion and research and teaching effect, to further improve the professional curriculum system construction, optimization, implementation of personnel training objectives, will eventually practice teaching as an important index for evaluation of undergraduate teaching English teaching work level.
