摘　　要：１９世纪著名汉学家、英国传教士伟烈亚力的“中国数学科学札记”是最早向西方全面介绍中国数学的珍贵文献。文中，伟烈亚力概述了中国数学文献，介绍了位值制、勾股术、大衍术、天元术、开方术（高次方程数值解）、四元术等中国古代重要数学成就，并通过中西之间的比较，对这些成就给予了高度的评价。此文在西方产生了很大影响。Jottings on the Science of the Chinese Arithmetic, written by Alexander Wylie, a famous sinologue in the 19th Century,is the first precious work that fully introduced Chinese Mathematics to the Western world. Making known to the Western Mathematicians that the Chinese mathematics has its long history, ample literature and important productions,among which are the theory of place value,the Da Yan Shu ,the Tian Yuan Shu, and the Kai Fang Shu, this work received much attention and high praise in the West.
