摘　　要：评论界对海明威作品中的女性人物一直各执一词、众说纷纭。本文中,笔者将试着从海明威所在的时代、他的个人生活经历以及战争等对他所造成的影响来解读他的小说《老人与海》中的女性角色缺失问题。There are various and endless criticisms on the presentation of female characters in Heming-way's fictions.The purpose of this article is to find something that may help to understand the vacancy of female characters in the novel The Old Man and the Sea.
