摘　　要：欧洲家具业为了提高其竞争力,正在加紧研究和开发新材料和零部件加工技术,其主要目标是降低材料成本和使零部件更易让顾客自行装配。通过改善材料的饰面特性和结构,开发出中空刨花板、粉末喷涂中密度板、蜂窝板和新型的封边材料等。The research and development of materials and fittings for the furniture industry in Europe is influenced at the moment by the decrease in furniture sales. The main aim is to reduce the costs of material and allow cosumers more easily to assemble the components by themselves. By improving the decorative characteristics and construction of panels, the tubular chipboard the powder coating MDF, honey- comb boards. an new types of edgebanding matierial are developed.
