摘　　要：本文论述了目前分布于世界各地的约 3 5 0 0万海外华人在国家与民族关系中、在经济全球化进程中以及在中、西方文化交汇中的特殊作用 ;This Article makes a discussion on the special roles played by the oversea ethnic Chinese of 35 millions or so living in various places of the world at present in inter-state and inter-ethnic relations, in the process of the economic globalization and in the cultural exchange and convergence; the author holds that it is of important practical significance for the researches on the Han ethnic group to strengthen researches on the above-mentioned roles.
