摘　　要：玄学诗派的创始人、英国 17世纪诗人约翰·邓恩的爱情名诗《告别辞 :请勿哀伤》借助一系列别出心裁的比喻和独具匠心的类比推理 ,形象、贴切地论证了性爱与情爱的区别 ,并通过奇特且令人信服的表述手法揭示出诗人的爱情观 ,即性爱与情爱的完美有机的结合才是理想的爱情模式。John Donne, the founder of the Metaphysical School of Poetry, is the poet of peculiar conceits, entertaining his own way of reasoning and comparison. His 'conceited' style is manifested most clearly in his A Valediction: Forbidding Mourning, a poem which effectively and convincingly shows that spiritual love is absolutely different from physical love, and that the lovers should treat their separation as only a physical one, not a spiritual one.
