摘　　要：建设一流大学是国家发展战略的核心内容。实现这一战略目标,关键在于我们要有足够的智慧去体悟这一历史与逻辑的统一:一流大学的产生需要一个过程,才能确立它在世界学术界遥遥领先的地位;一流大学必须有一流的校长,他们不仅仅是享有崇高威望的科学家,而且是具有独特办学理念的教育家,更是出色的社会活动家;一流大学必须有一流的学科和科学研究水平,才能办出特色,并代表学科研究的国际前沿,在世界范围享有很高的学术声望;一流大学必须具有一流的师资,世界上共有400余名大学教师获得过诺贝尔奖,他们基本上来自世界一流大学,可见,一流的师资是一流大学的必备条件,也只有如此,才能培养出一流的人才。Building the first-class universities is one of the core contents in the strategies of national development. To achieve the objective, the key is we should acquire adequate wisdom to understand the union of history and logics: a process for such universities to ensure their authoritative status in academia; topping presidents who are not only scientists of eminent prestige and educationists with distinct thoughts on running schools, but also excellent socialites; top-ranking subjects and R&D levels representing the international advancing front in the subject research and enjoying the sublime reputation; high-class persons qualified to teach and research who can foster topping qualified personnel.
