摘　　要：通过对大量历史文献资料的分析及研究发现,我国古代存在的寺院武僧活动,并非是个别现象。寺院僧人习武的动机主要来自三个方面:健体、防身与保护寺院的需要。从寺院武僧整体面貌的综述,认为这是对中华民族固有武技文化的传承和发展。Through the analysis of historical literature and research, it's found out that the Wushu activities held in ancient Chinese temples are not an individual phenomenon. The motives of monks' practicing Wushu are mainly for fitness, self-defense and protecting temples. The overview of Wushu practice in temples holds that it's heritage and development of traditional Chinese sports.
