摘　　要：采用平行分析的方法,从探讨剧作的文本和创作背景入手,对《麦克白》和《琼斯皇》主题的升华过程,即主人公惨遭欲望围困的心灵蜕变史进行了比较研究和深入剖析,求证两剧主题的同一性:它们都具有对人性警示的积极意义。This essay, starting with a comparative study of the text material and writing background of Macbeth and Emperor Jones, intends to make an in-depth research on conception of the themes in the two tragedies of desires. It is supposed that both heroes have undergone a deterioration of the soul under the impact of desires, and that both plays share the common ground in the positive admonition on humanity.
