摘　　要：本文根据语义结构理论，通过对英语形容词语义特征的分析，解释了形容词语义和结构的制约因素，论证了只有属于同一聚集的形容词才能用于同一的句子结构中，这对在英语教学与习得中学习者自觉进行语义类化和重构有着重要意义。This paper analises the semantic features of adjectives in English in the light of the semantic structure theory and catalogues them in accordance with the semantic system and the syntactic function. It is of a great help for the learners to use correctly lexical meanings and forms in second language acquisition and teaching.
