摘 要:本文通过建立实验研究分析框架 ,对近五年来发表在我国七种主要外语教学研究学术期刊上的 2 8篇实验报告进行了质量调查。结果发现 :( 1 )半数以上的报告未能提供实验研究中的关键信息 ,如理论框架、研究假设、实验方案、实验步骤等 ;( 2 )半数以上的研究未能显示实验各阶段之间的内在关系。这两类信息的缺损降低了研究结果的有效性 ,从而削弱了实验作为检验理论正确性的重要手段的作用。导致上述结果的原因是 :( 1 )多数研究者缺乏充分借鉴相关研究成果的意识 ;( 2 )不少研究者对实验研究所要求的精确和严谨还缺乏认识 。The present study evaluates, within a framework established specifically for analyzing experiments, the quality of SLA/FLT experimental studies conducted by Chinese researchers in the past five years or so. Altogether 28 studies published in 7 major FLT journals in China are selected for evaluation. The major findings are: (1) more than half of the studies failed to provide the key information that should be included in an experiment, such as theoretical framework, research hypotheses, experimental design, and data_collection procedures; and (2) more than half of the studies failed to indicate how various key parts of the experiments were logically linked. The absence of above information greatly reduces the validity of the research, weakening in the meantime the function of experiments as an important tool for testing a theory. The situation is regarded as resulting from most researchers' failure to realize the importance of drawing upon the related literature, and their ignorance of the rigor required of an experiment.
