摘　　要：网络仿真是通信网络设计重要环节 ,也是通信网络性能分析关键。首先简要介绍了网络仿真技术发展情况 ,阐述了网络仿真工具NS2 (Networksimulator -2 )支持各种业务模型和多种通信协议、采用面向对象设计以及强大的结果处理能力等特点 ,详细分析了NS2的层次结构 ,最后结合一个 4节点网络仿真实例 ,提出了运用NS2进行网络仿真的具体步骤 ,并重点分析随机早期检测 (RED)排队策略。It is very important to simulate network in design and perforance analysis of network. This paper briefly introduces the development of network simulation, discusses the charcters of ns2, such as supporting various operation module and communication protocols,adopting OOD and strong ability for dealing with the result. Lastly this paper gives an example which simulates four nodes of network and presents the steps of simulation. This paper analyzes the strategy of random early detection. The simulation proved the feasibility and effectiveness of ns2.
