摘　　要：工业革命使英国从传统的农业社会一跃成为世界工业强国。此间英国经历了特大的都市化过程,工业革命在促进英国城市发展和都市化过程中发挥了重要作用,英国都市化在与工业化相伴随的成长过程中形成了自己的特征。19世纪城市发展和都市化的率先性,是英国工业革命的重要成果。Due to the Industrial Revolution, Britain transformed an agricultural country into an industrial country. At the same time,the British city underwent a large-scale process of metropolises. The Industrial Revolution brought about a great advance in the city's development and metropolises. The Metropolises of Britain also evolved its own character. In 19 century, the achievements and marks of British industrialization was that the country took the lead in the city's development and its metropolises.
