摘　　要：语言和文化有着密不可分的关系。语言是文化的一个重要部分,语言也是文化的载体;文化渗透到语言之中,文化也通过语言的形式得以体现和传播。语言系统中与文化发展变化有着重要的最直接联系的是词汇。从对英语词汇的解析中,可以看到词义变化的各种方式。主要有词义的扩展,词义的缩小,词义的升格,词义的降格,词义的转移等方式。学习词义的转移不仅有助于提高使用和理解语言的能力,也有助于对相关的文化背景有更深层次的领悟。本文从联想转移的角度出发,讨论英语词义变化方式中的词义转移。There is a close relationship between language and culture. Language is an important component and a carrier of culture as well. Culture was permeated into and spread out through the form of language. Vocabulary plays an important role in the development of culture and the changes in language system. To explain the vocabulary, there are several changes of meaning. Such as generalization、specialization、elevation, degradation、 transference of meaning. Based on the study of vocabulary, the paper intends to explore the changes of meaning so as to improve our understanding of language and its culture background.
