摘　　要：现代社会的发展对急诊医学服务的要求不断增加，传统的急诊科模式已不适应我国社会经济发展的需要。强化和完善急诊科功能，对于提高急诊救治水平、稳定急诊医学队伍、改进医院急诊管理、促进我国社会经济的发展与社会稳定具有重要意义。进一步明确急诊医学的应有地位、完善急诊医疗服务体系、加强急诊外科建设、提高生命维护质量，培养一支技术过硬、医德高尚的急诊医学队伍和开展急诊医学基础与临床研究是完善急诊科功能的主要途径。With the development of modern society the demands for emergency medical service have been greatly increased in recent years. Nevertheless, the traditional model of hospital emergency department(ED) has not been able to meet the needs of modern society. Enhancing and improving ED function is therefore of great significance in increasing emergency management arts, keeping staff member stable, getting hospital administration better, and accelerating social economic development and social stability. Further defining the important position of emergency medicine, improving emergency medical service system, establishing emergency surgery, providing better life supporting service, cultivating high quality professionals and performing more scientific research, are the major ways to perfect the emergency department function.
