摘　　要：英国文艺复兴时期,一批人文主义作家关注女性,创作了数目可观的文学作品,并创建了一种女性类型:缄默、温柔、体贴、忠贞、谦卑和孝顺.这些作家虽然出于社会改良的需要提出了一系列教育主张,他们围绕女性能否接受教育等问题抒发自己对女性的看法,有积极的一面,但大都仍然依照父权社会的审美标准和价值观念对女性进行形塑.本文以托马斯·莫尔、托马斯·艾略特等作家的具体作品为例,分析其人文主义女性观及其缺失.Women or “woman” is a very familiar but catching word that appears frequently in the texts of the English Renaissance authors. “She” is cultivated as the image of the ideal woman: humble, submissive, quite, sexually chaste, pious and obedient to appropriate male authority. With this in mind, the present author attempts to look into the writings of authors like Thomas More and Thomas Elyot with reference to the humanist views of education expounded in their works, hoping to highlight their renaissance concept of woman.
