再论汉字的性质

摘　　要：关于汉字的性质,近百年来研究者众说纷纭,莫衷一是。主要的观点有:象形文字说,表意文字说,意音文字说,语素文字说,形音文字说,音节文字说,表音文字说等。从单个文字的形、音、意来考察汉字,汉字应是字、词一体的音节文字。As far as the quality of Chinese characters is concerned, the researchers' opinions in the past century vary very much, and no unanimous conclusion can be drawn. The major viewpoints regard the Chinese characters as pictograph, ideograph, ideo-phonemic language, morphemic language, picot-phonemic language, syllabic language and phonography, etc. If a single Chinese character is considered from the perspectives of pictograph, ideograph and phonology, a Chinese character is a syllabic language integrating character with word.
