重评《马氏文通》的成就和不足

摘　　要：《马氏文通》的本意是用作语文教学的教科书,它继承了先秦以来的训诂学成果却又不为训诂学所拘,首创了从词法、句法两个层面论述语言事实的近代型语法格局,使语文教学有"法"可依,它所归纳的"法"直到现代还对中学语文教学有所影响。《马氏文通》的不足主要表现在:厚古薄今、机械模仿和重意义轻形式三个方面。Ma's Grammar , written by MA Jianzhong and published in 1898 by the Commercial Press, was the first grammar book in China. It opened up a new age in Chinese study. The author advanced a set of grammatical terms such as zi (parts of speech), ci(sentence elements), ci(case) and also analyzed the sentence and the clause from a new angle. Of course. Ma's Grammar had its deficiencies: it was imitated on Latin grammar and stressed the factors of the past and meanings. This article makes some comments on the achievements and shortcomings of Ma's Grammar.
