摘　　要：《厄舍古屋的倒塌》是爱伦坡最著名的心理恐怖小说之一。其中主人公罗得瑞克的性格,他与妹妹玛德琳的关系,以及他活埋妹妹的动机一直是人们关注的焦点。从自体心理学角度进行分析,罗得瑞克对妹妹的爱是一种病态的自恋行为,他埋葬妹妹也是其畸形人格发展的恶果。The Fall of The House of Usher is a famous psychological thriller of Poe's. The protagonist Roderick's personality, the relationship between him and his sister Madeline, and his intention to bury her prematurely are the central issues evoking people's criticism. Referring to the theory of the self-psychology school, the author of this essay draws a conclusion: Roderick's love for his sister and his burial of her are the results of his narcissism.
